Satin glass or stippo glass

We are renovating our house and need to choose our windows. I was leaning towards satin glass for more privacy but I've heard that it can be more difficult to keep clean than stippo glass (or other textured glass). We will have a door with satin glass as its the only option. I would appreciate any opinions on the windows!

What room is this for? What is the style of the windows - casement, sash, something else? Why can’t you have normal glass.

More info needed!

Sorry, you're right! I missed out on a very important detail - it's for two windows in the main bathroom on the ground floor. One fixed pane small window and one large casement window.

I think I’d go for stippo. Looks like it affords more privacy which is more important if it’s on the ground floor?

I have a satin glass in a panel next to my front door. It was the most private of the privacy glasses. No one can see in through it, I think it looks much more modern and I don’t find it any more difficult to keep clean than any other glass. I think it was a more expensive glass than regular privacy but I’m glad I chose it.

We have satin in every window that needs privacy. I love it.

Let’s a lovely soft light in while giving complete privacy. I tested it in the dark to see what could be seen through the window. I could barely even see my husband in the bathroom from outside.

Ive never noticed it being any harder to keep clean.

you can see people through other blurred glass, you just can’t see them as easily as clear glass.

Like MimiSunshine, we’ve fitted satin glass in all the windows where privacy is essential, and it’s been a fantastic choice — not only does it provide excellent privacy, but it also has a sleek, elegant look and requires minimal cleaning.
