I really need to know AIBU…
We had the back garden paved. Looked nice, but straight away we thought some of the slabs were the wrong colour. Assured they weren’t, and might be a different batch…not overjoyed by this but thought they might weather…
Anyway after less than a year it’s really noticeable. Think one lot are light grey the other lot look beige. And they’ve started to move. We counted 15 slabs that move as you walk over them…
Talked to the builder, and he says he couldn’t buy all the slabs in one go as couldn’t store them or transport them all.. Well he didn’t mention that to us! Had he done so we would have gone for something else… and he now can’t take up the slabs that are moving without breaking them. Which means the replacement slabs will be yet another batch and there’s a good chance they will be another colour…
We paid a lot for the work and the builder does guarantee his work. We now feel we’ve been ripped off…
Hubby thinks they should do it again, or give us a significant refund.
