Outside tap cost

After having a realy bad experiance with a plumber few years ago i took the plunge and got someone in for a quote. (I will probarly get a couple of others).

But i just wandered if any trades people or anyone on here can give me rough idea of cost to fit a outside tap to back garden from the loft.
He said its straight foward job and will talke probarly 3/ 4 hours.

He will send a estimate but I've no idea what it is responsible.
Just to add I live in London so that may affect costs.

From the loft? What do you mean? Do you not have any running water downstairs? Or are you in a second floor flat?

@BastardesEverywhere
To run from pipe work in loft down garden wall to tap.
Plumber who lived next door some years ago said he had to do his via the loft . Live in 3 bed terraced house. I assume its meant if down stairs it would mean we would have to drill or something in the home etc which I do not want

Family member has just had it done. Was quoted £300. Not sure if the bill has arrived yet.

@Advocodo Thank you
Just got his quote for £280 including all items required.

Had hoped it would be slightly less but he has good reviews so I've agreed it with him for next week sometime.

I wanted it from the loft as I forgot to say my kitchen is at front of house and I did not want drilling, pipes pulling up things etc through rest of the house.
I had one put in few years ago at front of house which was much much less as sink is other side of wall.
