Good evening all,

hope you’re all well.

Question following my recent post after we have accepted offer on our house:

We have slowly started to pack things down as we don’t want to be under any pressure.

I have a question: Certain we won’t need or won’t want to move such as 86” TV almost new. Certain furniture etc.

In America we have yard sale. What is the best way of selling certain things in a similar way or other way?

Thank you :)

You can try the local Facebook marketplace or Facebook selling groups.

You can offer them to the buyer as a separate negotiation to the house sale. We sold items of furniture that we knew wouldn't fit in our next house to the buyer. Give them first refusal to buy.

Thank you. Would I go thorough our estate agent ?

We went through the conveyancer but you could equally try to make contact with the buyer via the estate agent. We made a list of what we wanted to sell with photos of items in situ and prices for each item. We looked on ebay/fb marketplace to get an idea of prices.
