Am I being stupid in going for a non-RICS surveyor? I was not thinking of getting a survey initially as property seems find and the person selling it is a surveyor/builder himself so I assume extensions he did 10yrs ago are fine. I was at one time thinking of taking a local builder and my plumber friend around to inspect basic things, but now with a decent quote and good reviews of this non RICS company thinking just have full assessment. Am I being naive?
