I have in a previous house, but then we have tiled over old tiles too. If its looking grubby and thats why you want to re-grout you can get a re-grouting pen which you use to 'colour' in the old grout.

What with?

Not grout?

we sand papered the old tiles, and stuck the new ones on the top with grout. We lived there for a further 4 years and they never fell off.

yeah you can with more grout. give the old stuff a good clean down/scrape to get all the loose bits and crap off. be sure none of it is close to the edge of the tile lip and then just redo it. small areas and clean it back as you go - is easy but a bit slow.

You need to scrape out the old grout to get a 'key'.If it is purely for looks get a grout pen it is temporary though not a great finish Otherwise tile over them
