Qettle - spluttering?

Has anyone here got a Qettle? We've just had one fitted and I'm not very happy with how spluttery it is. I had seen the videos that explain as it's truly boiling it's more active than slightly cooler taps, but it's not really coming out as a stream of water meaning that it's impossible not to get spots of water on your hand even when taking the mug up to the tap.

Our builder is speaking to them today but I wanted to see what others experience is as if this is just the way it is I want to try and get a refund and a different type!

Ours splutters too. The safety red button kept sticking and we had to request a replacement handle 4 times. This handle splutters less and I find if you run the water for a short while, the spluttering reduces. Seems a common issue amongst Qettle. Saying that, I still think it’s brilliant for the price point

Yes seems it is, according to Qettle, within the bounds of what is reasonable. Saying that, they offered a full refund so we've replaced it. I think they are missing a trick by not having an option to change the temperature, 98 is fine for me and would have stopped the splutter, but enables it for those that want true 100. It was just too splashy and painful!
