A neighbour one

Hopefully a bit of a refreshing thread since we love our neighbours. We live in a terraced house and are moving soon. Our neighbours on both sides have been amazing over the years. We have a single retired lady on one side and a young couple on the other side. We are not British so not sure what is appropriate, but I’d love to give them small gifts and a thank you card before we go. Are wine/chocolates appropriate or should it be something more personal? Ideas welcome!

That’s a lovely idea.

The card is the best bit, in my opinion.

If you know they like wine or chocolates then that's great (eg, I don't like wine but I doubt my neighbours know that). If you don't know then maybe a plant (either indoor or for the garden).

You could bake them a cake or a speciality from your own country. The card saying how much you have appreciated them will mean a lot to them.

Thank you all. I think the plant is a great idea!

Your new address? Even just for Christmas cards and a catch up!
