our buyers pulled out this morning after creating a fuss on Tuesday regarding early entry. We all agreed to move in 4 weeks….two days before we go on holiday. Now this!!!! So have lost our dream home too.
feel so cross and sad

@Taransay This sound so upsetting for you. Did they say why they pulled out? Just seems crazy as they must have already spent money on the searches, solicitors etc. too.

Really sorry this has happened. Sometimes people ask for early access but it's entirely at the goodwill of the vendor, including after exchange. Seems a stupid thing to pull out over, if you want the house and have spent all the pre-money.

I’m so sorry OP. That’s really shitty of them. Had your estate agent made all reasonable endeavours to keep them on?

Absolute arseholes the British system needs a complete overhaul. If they did that in Australia they would lose their 10% deposit.

Yeah I am immigrant who is still baffled by why are there no penalties when people go months through the process and anyone can just bugger off

I suspect they have found another property with an earlier entry date . From day one they wanted to be in yesterday and we have all accommodated them along the way.

The house we made an offer on is willing to honour the offer so I feel abit happier than I did this morning. We have changed estate agents so agent can deal with our house and the house we have an offer on!
it’s been a long day….glass of wine needed!!! 🍷
