Drains results from survey

Hello

My survey (level 2) came back with following on drains. not even sure who or what to get at this point to inspect drains before exchanging ?

Condition:

The waste pipes look neglected and possibly leaky. Some of the gaps around the openings need properly sealing off. The gulley needs a thorough check, clean and overhaul.

Condition Rating 3. (Red)
ACTION: Drains to be thoroughly checked, cleaned and flushed through with any necessary
maintenance undertaken to waste pipes etc before occupation.

has anyone a) received a report of similar nature and b) hired someone to inspect drains before exchanging ?

TIA

You can get drain surveys. Just google drain survey and your area

It sounds like they only looked at above ground pipes. (Level 3 surveyor will look at below ground if they can get the covers off but they seem to struggle with this.) To check the drains below ground all the way round your property you will need a drainage survey. They don't cost much, think ours was about £250 & vat, well worth it as we want to extend over the sewer.

How old is the house?

Have you owned a house before? They all have things wrong with them.
