Washing machine attached to kitchen tap?

We are just about to start an extension and one of the first things the builder will need to do is to get rid of the little porch where we keep the washing machine. The extension will probably take 3 months give or take, so trying to think of different ways of keeping the washing machine running for as long as possible.
I thought perhaps connecting the inlet pipe to the kitchen tap/outlet pipe in sink may be an idea? And then use / connect as and when we need it? Obv I have no experience whatsoever in plumbing, so not sure if possible. Does anyone know?

Given there are laws on water regulations, especially back flow, its best to speak to a qualified plumber on how best to achieve this. You probably need a temporary adjustment to the pipe work and drainage to include a non return valve.

Ask the builder to install your washing machine somewhere else.

not the same but i have previously used a countertop dishwasher in a similar manner, left a 'hozelock' attachment permanently attached to sink tap as it was easier than refitting each time then the hose could just be clicked onto the tap when needed. id be more worried about the space for it though? where will it live as surely you dont want to be shifting it over to the sink and back a few times a week, as long as it isnt in the middle of the floor a plumber will be able to hook it up for you quite easily, long length hoses are available at screwfix etc so you're not necessarily limited to the existing hose length. one thought could be if you have a downstairs loo could it go in there and be hooked up to the sink pipes by a plumber and you just take that bathroom out of commission for the duration?
