Conservatory Roof

Hi. Just looking for some advice. Has anyone had their conservatory roof replaced with lightweight fibre resin?

We’ve had a quote which I’m thinking of going ahead with (£4k) but my husband is not sure. We’ve had larger quotes (£7.5k) but that wasn’t for fibre resin and as it’s an old construction, so I don’t really want to spend a fortune on it.

Anyone know about this fibre resin? Thanks.

We looked at different options for our conservatory roof and our builder suggested checking foundations to see if could add tiled roof. We had full foundations so added 2 brick columns and vaulted tile roof, it is now a proper usable room. It cost less than a high grade glass but a little bit more than resin. Family member has got a resin roof and still makes it a more usable space.
