What sort of company would do this?

I need my wooden porch canopy replacing with UPVC. But not sure who would do it. I contacted a double glazing firm that looked like a possibility. But they said it was a job for a handy man. My neighbours have had theirs done, but the houses are rented. I ever see them so can’t ask who the landlord is. The first picture is how it is now. And the second is what I want it to be.

Try a carpenter?? My DP is a carpenter but also does roofing and has worked with plastics/Upvc.

Just realised the photos are the wrong way round!

If the wood is sound then it'd be much cheaper to get a painter decorator to redo the paintwork for you. And then you could have a bit of colour if you chose to.
Otherwise, this is a job for a builder or people who do soffits and facias, so maybe a roofer.

I’ve had it painted a few years ago, but it’s just not lasting long before looking scruffy. It would be cheaper to do that. But I’d rather just get a permanent solution.

I’ve been quoted £700 by one company. Waiting on another to get back to me. That includes a 10 year warranty and VAT. Does that sound reasonable?

There's a company near us called the Fascia Place - I assume they could of that sort of thing.

Maybe their website would give you an idea of what to search for, if you're not near North Hampshire?

Thacks. I’ve been in touch with a couple of other fascia companies. But neither have contacted me yet.

I had to get a canopy replaced in my old house. I got one from House of Canopies. My builder then fitted it for me. I just looked at their website and they also do traditional style roofs too.
The process was easy for us. Just ordered it online. When I received it there was a bit of damage and they replaced it once I had sent them photos. Builder fitted it still there 9 years on.
