Blinds - online ordering would you do it? Have you done it?

I need a fairly standard roller blind. Any recommendations for blind companies that you can order from online by sending through your window measurements? I've never done it before but unless i'm missing something, it looks like a fairly straightforward options. Anyone out there done it themselves? All suggestions and recommendations gratefully received.

Lots of companies, Blinds Direct is one I have used. Really simple service.
Some let you pay a small insurance amount in case you mess up the measurements.

LittleMonks11 · 12/05/2025 10:26

We used Blinds2Go - very straightforward and no issues

bathsheba67 · 12/05/2025 10:28

Don't use Blinds Direct whatever you do - or at least have a good look at their reviews online before you order. My blinds were horrible - cheaply made, not the right size, awful. They keep asking you for videos and photographs and never actually resolve. Worst customer service I have ever come across.

Longingforspringtime · 12/05/2025 10:28

I’ve used Blinds Direct. First one was totally the wrong size, bearing in mind that DH’s job means working with precise measurements. They replaced it. Risked buying another one, didn’t fit. I wouldn’t risk it again.

doodleschnoodle · 12/05/2025 10:28

We’ve used Blinds2Go a couple of times. No issues.

pencilcaseandcabbage · 12/05/2025 10:36

I've also used Bilnds2Go, twice. The blinds (4 roman and 1 roller) are beautiful and a really good fit. I'd very happily use them again.

FrothyCothy · 12/05/2025 10:36

We’ve used blinds2 go without issue

TianasBayou · 12/05/2025 11:00

Blinds2Go are good, and you can pay a little extra in case you mis-measured.
Get yourself a decent metal tape measure.

Sunshineandgrapefruit · 12/05/2025 11:34

Dunelm are good. You need to cut to size when it arrives but it's pretty straightforward.

MrsWhites · 12/05/2025 11:36

I’ve used blinds to go to do my whole house, measure, measure and measure again and you’ll be fine!

JaneWithTheUntidyHouse · 12/05/2025 11:38

I recently used 24 7 Blinds, they were the cheapest and the blinds turned up decent, fitted the windows fine etc.

GasPanic · 12/05/2025 11:39

I've used blinds to go for perfect fit and they are fine.

They did have an issue where they were tying up the strings too tight and they were impossible to undo, but they fixed that for me FOC. I would recommend them, they do seem to be willing to engage and sort out issues.

CordialVsSquash · 12/05/2025 11:40

Also used Blinds2Go and they have been fine, just double check your measurements

MargoLivebetter · 12/05/2025 11:43

Blinds2Go it is then! Thank you all. Just placed my order.

I've used blinds 2 go and wouldn't really recommend them based on their customer service. One day the top of the venetian blind completely snapped in half and the whole unit fell down on me, but they tried to tell me it was from wear and tear. I've had much older blinds that haven't broken apart and I would've been really angry if that heavy blind had fallen on one of my kids. The ordering process was easy enough and the blinds look good but it seems like they're not made to last

isitmeamithedrama · 12/05/2025 11:50

I’ve used Blinds2go a lot. I’ve had their Roman blinds and perfect fit and used them in 2 houses my current house every window has blinds from
them . Measuring is easy I just measured a coiple
of times to make sure I was right. They arrived quickly and were easy to put up. They’re really good quality as well and lovely material
I recommend them to everyone and they send out the samples quickly too and usually free/pay postage

EverythingIsComputer · 12/05/2025 11:53

I recently used 24 7 Blinds for some honeycomb ones which I’m really happy with. They offer a measuring insurance type thing - 10% of the price and they’ll redo them if they don’t fit

Bluevelvetsofa · 12/05/2025 13:30

We’ve used Blinds2Go often and over the last few months have had 3 roller blinds, 3 zebra blinds and 5 Roman blinds. We used them in our previous house too.

mondaytosunday · 12/05/2025 13:38

Blinds Direct, Hilary’s and Ukblinds are all online shops I’ve used and all have been great. Custom roman blinds rather than roller though.

JDM625 · 12/05/2025 13:41

Don't forget that you can order samples for free. Its very handy to see the actual colour/pattern and check how black out they are etc.

Mikart · 12/05/2025 14:31

Dunelm

AccidentalPrawnYouFool · 12/05/2025 21:36

I’ve used 24/7 blinds a lot and they’re really good.

Mapletreelane · 12/05/2025 22:05
