Just been to see some houses - one of which was no 13
I hadn't thought about it til DH mentioned it
Would it put you off?

I used to live in a no 13

moondog · 17/05/2008 22:05

13 is my family's lucky number so I actively seek it out and yes,our last house was 13.

Sidge · 17/05/2008 22:06

Nope not at all.

My brother was born on Friday 13th!

moodlumthehoodlum · 17/05/2008 22:08

It would bother me but I would be swiftly over ruled by dh. I had a big problem with living in a house with an odd number but had to get over it.

Wheelybug · 17/05/2008 22:08

OOH i'm doing Race for Life tomorrow and my race number is number 13 so I'll let you know tomorrow ....

Wheelybug · 17/05/2008 22:09

Anyway, to answer sensibly - our first flat we bought was number 13. We got married whilst in that flat so I don't think it was unlucky....

Wheelybug · 17/05/2008 22:10

Where you looking ? (nosey emoticon).

PigeonPie · 17/05/2008 22:12

Nah, we live at no 13. Don't think MIL was very impressed, but then she wasn't impressed when I bought a green car either (used to be clothes - can't wear green or you'll wear black to a funeral next )

We live at number 13 and it's turned in to our lucky number! Keeps cropping up, eg, my DD was born on 13th etc. Every time, it's a good thing!

Never mind the number, check out the house happiness-o-meter. If the previous owners have happily bought up their own family in it, for example. Far more important in my opinion.

TheBlonde · 17/05/2008 23:03

Thanks everyone

I think the house is a no, for various other reasons

ive lived in 2 houses that were number 13 and been very happy in both- the house i live in at the moment is number 13.

MsPontipine · 19/05/2008 20:19

There's no No 13 in our little close - it jumps from 12 to 14.

Friday 13th very lucky for my family too - many family members were born on it.
