How would you improve the exterior of this house?

We are on the hunt for our family home (me, DH and 3 young kids). We found this property that ticks many boxes in terms of location and size, but I can't seem to get warm to how it looks from the outside. Link to house and also picture attached.

The fact that I don't like how it looks from the outside is actually stopping us from putting in an offer.

How would improve the exterior of this house? I'm trying to see if there are things we can do to make it more attractive looking.

Window boxes with something green trailing would soften it.

A tree in the front if you don’t need all the parking.

A brighter front door. But I rather like the look of it. It looks friendly.

Without doing anything too costly, I think the door cover/ porch and white utility box stand out too much and would paint them black to match the spouting. Then I'd paint the front door to make it more of a feature -- whatever your preference (pink, blue, orange). I'd centre black planters under both windows with flowers that pick up the door colour.

It would looked nicer with more greenery -- strips of lawn or lines of small shrubs down the sides. Shrubs would help hide the utility box too.

Door and overhead canopy thing don’t match the windows - depends what you like but you could just get a better door and go with that style until you’re ready to replace the windows as well. I think it looks nice and better than those fully cream rendered/black window monstrosities going up everywhere. So many period homes being cheapened by that tacky look! This looks quite cool though, I like it ☺️

Paint the door and see what you think then.

My first impression is to change the color of the front door. Have it be something light and bright. Secondly, shutters basically just decorative ones, on the upper window. Widen the window trim or casings, maybe even the door casings as well.

After seeing this thread, I randomly saw this photo on Facebook and thought it was coincidentally suitable! This is the kind of thing I would do
