Walleys Quarry Landfill - NewCastle under Lyme

Hi there,
I am thinking to buy a property around Newcastle under lyme area. Previously i heard about the stench coming from the Walleys Quarry Landfill nearby. but i also heard that it is closed down now. Please if you can share what is the current situation now and how is the air quality there now after closing down. Thanks

You are probably best of asking the Environment Agency who regulaye landfills and air quality and investigate odour pollution:

Think about the issues you are worried about and whether they may affect a future sale onwards. Also, if it has closed it doesn’t mean it will stay closed forever. Personally I would avoid.
