Hey,

I was looking for some advice and was hoping you could help.

My budget is around £260k and i can either buy a Maisonette or a flat in Slough does anyone who lives in the area think one or the other is better? I want to think about what is best to live in, rent out and sell in the future.

I am currently 23yo, i hope to live there for a bit and then perhaps rent it out when i move out of Slough but i am looking to buy just to get onto the property ladder.

Thank you in advance.

Why Slough? Have you looked at Maidenhead? Plenty of options for 260k

It has a much nicer town centre and is only a couple of stops further up the same train line.

Ground rent on a flat can be very high. I don’t think you pay ground rent on a maisonette but I’m happy to be corrected x

Burnham, Cippenahm, Taplow and Langley - those all are near Elizebeth Line and quite nice areas, prices range generally from 280k-350k for 2 bed though!
