Anyone in Ramsbottom? Relocating there + need advice

We're thinking very seriously about moving over to Ramsbottom. We don't live too far away (outside Chorley) but house prices here are outrageous and with two kids now we need a bigger house.

I'm wondering if anyone lives there or knows it well and can give me any words of wisdom about nice bits to live in (and bits to avoid), good schools, etc. Many thanks!

i know Woodhey high school is good as is Stubbins primary
the town centre is lovely , think it's a nice area in general

woodhey is an excellent school. ramsbottom is nice but they do have a bit of a problem with teenagers drinking on the street at night. you are best to stay away from the area where the shops and pubs are on bolton road west.
