Hi
I would like to know if anyone has experince in renovating a house specifically( building a new staircase, renovating a bathroom and WC, flooring, and painting)
Would really appreciaite if anyone can provide any reliable builder contact in South London and an estimation of cost.
We are first time buyers and have no experience.
Thank you

Building a new staircase is really expensive. I would look for a different property.
New bathroom in London ballpark £15,000
If it's a seperate WC then maybe another £10,000
Decorating could be £1500 per room or more if the walls need skimming. Much less if you paint yourselves. Flooring is variable but I would ballpark £1000 per room. The cheapest flooring option is to buy roll ends of carpet from somewhere like designer carpets online and have them laid by a local carpet fitter.

North East.
Our replacement staircase was about £10k but a lot depends on whether it's a straight run of stairs, or needs to bend, what is already there and how much needs to be made good afterwards.

Bathroom and WC (bath with shower over) was about £5k but that's not high end fittings and part of a bigger project so trades already on site.

Decorating again depends on what's involved and how much prep is needed on walls. If you're having new lining paper and high end paint with multiple
coats then that's a lot more than trade Dulux on a surface that doesn't need much prep.

Flooring is very dependent on what you choose, Remember to factor in underlay cost if you're going for carpet.

You'll need to work out the square metres required to be able to compare.

Bathroom - 10k ish.
Painting - cheap to do yourself, but will the walls need skimmed or filled? Our decorator charges about £300 a day labour then materials on top so it depends on how many rooms and how big they are.
Don't know about a staircase sorry.
We're East Anglia so probably cheaper than the SE.

We replaced a staircase recently, just straight stairs in a victorian terrace. It was billed £3200 (removal and new staircase) in London- as part of a big renovation.
