Dh Job is relocating to Willen hall ( Birmingham) in August and if all goes well we are looking to move up there in the new year but i have never really step foot out of South east England so have no idea where to start!

We live in a nice area of Maidstone at the moment in a 3 bed but would be looking for a 4 bed, also have 2 ds, aged 9 months and 5 so schools is a big thing, we are hoping to go up in the next few months to get a feel of the areas so any advice on whats nice and not would be great!
We are looking for any where on the outside of Birmingham or central but no more then 1 hour drive!

Thank you everyone!

I would only consider Moseley in Birmingham.

Moseley to Willenhall is a nasty commute though!

What about Aldridge or Lichfield?

A Black Country girl here (and the accent is much better than a brummie one )

Willenhall is more Wolverhampton than Birmingham. Some really grim bits of Wolverhamton though. Nice places nearish by:-

Wombourne
Wall Heath
Kinver
Hagley (Stourbridge)
Essington
Cheslyn Hay
Perton

I live in Kinver and its a lovely village - decent schools, good facilities, not extortionate prices, beautiful countryside etc

Shout up if you need any more info
