Am so annoyed! Estate agent rand TODAY at lunchtime saying 'yes its short notice but can someone view tonight at 6.30pm?'
I thought well you've got to grab the viewers while they're there, so said yes.
Broke my back getting the house straight and they haven't come. Sulk ....
Am now making something to eat for all of us. Pah!

At least you can console yourself with the thought that they will also have p'd off the estate agents and that won't do them any favours.

We've sold our house and exchanged contracts but our buyers have been nagging us to let them come over for the fourth time. They asked to do it bank holiday sunday. I spent literally the whole of saturday cleaning and tidying and then they didn't show. next time I shall say no.

Be prepared for the "we tried to phone but agent had left ..." excuse or "we decided we did n't like the area/distance from station/road/park/schools(too near or too far), location, colour of front door, the neighbours, parking ..."(delete as appropriate). Alternatively the agent never confirmed the appointment.

Estate agent will always defend as it is them not doing their job - have not taken the brief properly and know what their buyers really want. At the moment I am being sent everything and anything regardless of location, price etc. Agents desperado to get people in to see the property.
