Looking to get new windows and doors and the sales person suggested we consider a triple glazed composite front door.
I think this is a few hundred more than the double glazed, and he explained the door itself will be thicker.
We do need the windows and doors changing to make the place less draughty and hopefully retain the heat better, but noise is not something we need to worry about.
Would it be worth getting the triple glazed now, or is double generally adequate for most homes?
We are in a small 3 bed terrace built late 80's.
I actually prefer the glazing options in the double glazed version, so don't want to waste money and not be so happy to with the look if the thermal efficiency won't change massively.
Thanks.
