Beverley and surrounding villages?

Hoping to relocate to the East Riding later this year. Looking at Beverley and the villages immediately surrounding it.

Any recommendations about Tickton, Leconfield, Cherry Burton, Walkington or Beverley itself would be very welcome!

Also wondering about the quarry between Walkington and Beverley. We've not been able to spend a great deal of time there to assess noise, dust and things like that. Would really appreciate some inside knowledge!

Quarry doesn't have any impact on cherry, Beverley, leconfiebd, Cottingham, skidby etc. Not sure about Leven but from memories of spending time there as a child I can't remember any noise/disruption. Be aware public transport link are shocking to non existent from the smaller villages.

Thanks that's good to know. We're really used to cycling everywhere so never think about checking public transport!!

We were also looking at places like Driffield and Nafferton which have the train option for Beverley, but current preference would be to be within biking distance.
