Cleaner not picking up dirty water

Just got my new vax carpet cleaner model spinscrub power but just tried to use it and no water is coming out need help

Did you put water in it?

I have the Vax smartwash. I had your problem and it was because the dirty water container wasn’t properly inserted although it looked like it was. Take it out and put it back in again.
