Kimpton Rd/Whittaker Rd (North Cheam) - School Catchment & Area Advice

Hi everyone,
We’re exploring the Kimpton Road/Whittaker Road area (North Cheam) and would love local insights. We’re a family with a 6y DD and an 8y DS, currently in primary school in Worcester Park. We plan for them to continue in their primary school but we’re keen to understand secondary school options in this area.
Could you help with:

  • Schools: Are Cheam High and Glenthorne High likely to be within the catchment for this area?
  • Transport: How reliable are trains/buses to central London? Closest stations?
  • Community: Is it family-friendly? Are there nice parks or walking areas for kids?
  • Commute: Typical journey time to London? Peak-hour parking near stations?
  • Safety: How do you find the area in terms of safety and community feel?
Our Priorities:
  • Understanding secondary school catchment areas
  • A quiet, family-friendly neighborhood
  • Occasional stress-free commutes to London
We’d love to hear your thoughts on what it’s like to live in the area, especially for families with young children. Any advice or experiences would be incredibly helpful! Thanks in advance!

Don't know about the schools. Nearest station is West Sutton. London Blackfriars is 50 minutes. No parking at the station at any time.
