Boiler under warranty broken

Our boiler has packed in, dripping water etc the works. Vaillant have booked a visit under warranty and “an engineer will call today to arrange an appointment time”. Of course that didn’t happen today.

Any ideas if “today” means next business day, next few weeks etc!? We cannot afford to call emergency plumber if there is a chance that warranty will cover the cost of fixing this.

Thanks for any pointers x

Phone Vaillant back. We had an issue with a boiler under warranty with them (well it wasn't the boiler, it was the control panel) and they were very speedy. You can also contact them online.

some come out the next working day, great but not ideal if the boiler breaks on a Saturday morning

Why does shit like this always happen at Christmas? My Hive stopped working yesterday, fortunately we can over ride it at the boiler, but previous years I had my range cooker fail on Christmas Eve.

Vailant are good, and their boilers are good too so I hope it’s a minor fix and they get it sorted quickly. If I recall, when they rang me back on a warranty repair for mum they asked lots of questions to ascertain what parts they might need then made an appointment for the visit. Sounds like you’re looking at probably Friday for a fix?

Stay warm, hopefully you have back up like a fire and an electric shower.
