I pass this house every week and can't believe it's up for sale already. Nice village, good schools - gwan gwan gwan

Which one is it?

lalalonglegs · 28/04/2008 19:55

Which house is it? Owners probably divorcing after stress of build .

NotABanana · 28/04/2008 19:56

Eugh! Not what I was expecting.

lalalonglegs · 28/04/2008 19:56

Oh the one with the problem windows...

lalalonglegs · 28/04/2008 19:58

Actually, they all have prolem windows, don't they? Kevin McCloud's fallback device for dramatic tension.

But OMG the views, I remember them

I seem to remember the owners saying it was their 'forever house' though?

bobsmum · 28/04/2008 19:59

It's really quite small looking from the outside. If I remember from the prog, the camera shots always made it look like it stood alone in the countryside, but it doesn't - there are (nice) neighbours on either side - it's just in a normal village street.

Yeah - the kids are in the local school - surely they wouldn't pull them out without good reason? Maybe it's just been costing too much? The garden's only been done in the last couple of months and I'm sure the house was finished at least 2 years ago now.

seems quite cheap

scaryt · 28/04/2008 20:02

I remember that one. It's not what I would normally go for but I do quite like it. More pennies than we've got though!

Add at least 25% on to the asking price though - Scottish offers over system.

It looks like an NHS building where you go to get your corns seen too.

fab location tho'.

Fimbo · 28/04/2008 20:36

I love houseplants - have loads.

sweetkitty · 28/04/2008 20:43

I think it looks really ugly IF I had that amount of money to spend on a house it wouldn't be that one.

hatwoman · 29/04/2008 17:51

one in the op is spectacularly ordinary. not even lived in and personalised. just a very ordinary, failed, half-hearted attempt at being stylish. (but like my house )as for two tables. that's just strange. I can see the attraction of two tables when you have a load of people over for a long lunch and you sit the uno playing kids away from the wine swigging adults but we find the garden table does this very well without permanently taking up residence.

hatwoman · 29/04/2008 17:52

that was meant to say bit like my house
