To all landlords; who does your gas safety check?

I would love to find an alternative to British gas. Latest gem is an annual charge of £100 to check the gas hob and issue a safety certificate.
this is taking the piss big time, I feel.

the property is in East London, so if you know any firms interested in a regular annual check, please tell me!

I would be very happy to swap over to another firm to have a call-out arrangement for an annual fee, but that seems harder to come by.

I use a CORGI registered plumber who we have known for years. I'm afraid £100 sounds about right - we're charged around that mark for safety checks on hob and combi boiler.

thanks AYN. If it were for the boiler check as well, I could understand it, but it is literally only a hob.
