how many doors between bathroom & kitchen?

We're thinking of moving house, and the place we might put an offer on has a downstairs bathroom, through the kitchen.
Not ideal, but I don't really mind that. The problem is that, at the moment, there is a seperate wc, built on to the back of the bathroom, which takes away a fair amount of space from the garden.
We want to knock down the wc and put the toilet into the bathroom (it is pretty big). This would mean, though, that there'll only be one door between the kitchen and bathroom (containing a toilet) Is this ok? Any idea of the building regs?

Thats fine now - it used to be you had to have 2 doors between toilet and kitchen but they've changed it now. If you want to make sure ring the local planning dept (I did in our old house) and they will tell you. They just said to have the food prep area as far away as poss.

You're fine with one door - my old house had the bathroom straight off the kitchen, and we checked it all out before we bought it.
