What could have happened here?

I've had my eye on a property that is lovely, but IMO, overpriced. It was listed with two estate agents for almost a year, and has had one price reduction during that time.

About a month ago, an 'under offer' banner appeared on one estate agent's website listing. For some reason, the 'under offer' banner vanished a few weeks ago, and the property is now off that agent's website. It remains listed (at the same price) on the other agent's website.

What could have happened?

Its either sold and no one bothered to tell the second agent or sale with first agent fell through and vendors are hacked off so got rid of them.
