I have just moved into a block of purpose built flats and I'm struggling to find contents insurance. My old insurers said no when I mentioned living on a dockside development. Can anyone recommend an insurance company that don't run a mile at purpose built owner occupied flats in blocks of four storeys on the docks?

Did he say why? you would think flats are more secure than houses.

Find an insurance broker or knock on your neighbours doors and ask.

Computer said no apparently @MrsPuddle.

I'd ask the neighbours if I ever saw any of them!

Thanks, @purpleme12 I've now bought insurance with them, it was massively expensive and the site v difficult to navigate, but it's done.
