Best way to get a Short term rent -London?

DH is going to London for 10 weeks in the summer and we are trying to secure a short term flat let. It's not going very well !!

He is not picky just wants somewhere to put his stuff and lay his head. he will be working in the Canary Wharf area. What would be a good place for a base with a short commute? and where would be a good area that does not cost the earth !!

Any suggestions very welcome.

thanks.

Short-term lets are difficult to find and expensive You are probably better off advertising on Gumtree or similar site for room in shared flat - maybe someone will be looking to take a long holiday over the summer and be willing to sub-let. CW pretty accessible from anywhere in inner East End or stops along Jubilee and DLR lines; buses from Islington.

Find out if the company he works for has newsletter in which he can advertise.

I've heard some people have success using Craigslist. Might be worth a look.

If he will only be there during the week he could try mondaytofriday.com
