hi

just wondering would anyone think it's nice to hear some background music when looking at a home...or spooky?

what sort?

maybe it's just me but I think it would be nice to hear some Moby, Mozart, Enigma, or even Justin Timberlake...(?)

Would smack of TRYING TOO HARD (see also smell of fresh baked bread/brewing coffee)

oh reminded me of black coffee in bed by Squeeze.

Now that, surely would help sell a house I love that thought, reminds me of duvets in a perfect bedroom, snuggled, oooh I will buy that house now!

No, No, No! Bad idea. It would really p* me off to be subjected to someone else's crass attempt to subliminally influence me into positive thoughts about their house. Baking bread and real coffee is so hackneyed that we all are aware of it and can therefore ignore it. Music is worse. And so much more difficult to pitch right. Classical? Pop? Slushy? Hotel lift muzak? Ugh.

Wow

I thought this topic would go unanswered for certain.

Good thing I asked...I can def see upon reflection how difficult it might be to choose something appealing all around.

our house has no noises needing masking btw. unless you hate the sound of birds. which i suppose some people would.
