House was STC now says under offer?

We're waiting to complete. There are tenants that need to be out. It said on the estate agents website STC now saying under offer?
Does anyone know why this would happen? I'm sick of ringing estate agents about this house but will if no one can answer. TIA

There may not be totally contradictory, I assume your offer was under ask, and is it still subject to contract or have you exchanged? Maybe still hopeful for a better offer? Or just a mistake someone updating status's and getting it wrong, should have been sold.

When you say tenants that need to be out what do you mean.You shouldn’t exchange till they are out.

No haven't exchanged. The tenants are on the list for social housing, apparently are high on the list? We're not in a rush to move but still want this house. We'll exchange with vacant possession.
