Can’t get over paying more new build

Can anyone offer any words of wisdom.
I keep feeling upset that I have overpaid for my new build and I didn’t get the plot I could have.
I wanted to buy a larger plot which I could
afford.
My ex do tried to stop me relocating and prohibitive steps court case took so long over a year and half that I didn’t buy the house I wanted. I could have bought the larger one of plan but the lawyer said maybe the court would take a dim
view but realistically they would never have known .
I ended up buying a smaller plot next to the one I wanted to purchase which I see every day. It is ok but I needed up paying much more per square meter and I feel really annoyed as this is my life savings. I feel a but like I was taken advantage of by the sales. I dont have a mortgage on this one which is ok. It’s just hard to get over. Although I don’t say it in real life I feel
really annoyed I payed more
per square meter and the house just doesn’t have the appeal of the larger one. How do you stop Obsessing about it.

I got some really good advice, can you change the situation change it, if you can't accept it. Harder said than done but it's the best way. Have you thought of moving again?

I’d say you’re in a good position to have a house without a mortgage, so if you’re unhappy it’s certainly worth thinking about moving again

Will cost a lot to move stamp duty etc, and kids are in school so would probably have to wait a while. It was supposed to be a forever home for kids which is annoying I am really annoyed at myself for not just reserving the one I wanted despite family court ex. I think I was given bad legal advice which is also annoying.
