What type of ceiling is this?

Looking to buy a house that needs renovation. Ceiling worries me that it will be difficult to take off and if its Artex ceiling it may contain asbestos.

Can anyone tell from the pictures what ceiling this is and if anyone had anything similar removed.

Pattern and design look really outdated so wanted to remove but if its going to be a nightmare then I probably may leave it.

Gosh what a pattern! I'm pretty sure these are ceiling tiles (hopefully someone else will be able to confirm). I had some removed from a house once as they're a fire hazard as well as being really old fashioned. They just scraped off and then the ceiling was skimmed, a messy job but not the end of the world

The pattern is so uniform I would think ceiling tiles per PP or some sort of anaglypta wallpaper. Wallpapering ceilings used to be incredibly common place. Still have a few rooms in my house with papered ceilings. Hides a multitude of hairline cracks in an old house.
