What bed size will fit in here? *Pic attached*

Hiya

We’re buying a small 2-bed property and the second room is practically a box room.
We’d need the second room purely to fit a bed in to sleep in (not so much to be used as an actual room) as DP is a snorer 😬

I’ve tried checking measurements and can’t see which bed size would fit into the room - and which way it’d be able to fit in.

Ideally, I’d like to be able to fit a double or at least a small double into the room.

Can anyone assist by looking at the floor plan please?!

Thank you

No reason why you couldn't fit a double in there if no other furniture.
I would suggest a bed frame that only takes the footprint of a mattress, then you can always have a wall hung headboard if you really need one, and you will ha e lots of storage space beneath.

A standard double is only 2 metres long (some are 190cm) and about 160cm wide so should fit under the window.

Hey op, I don’t think that will be a problem. This was the first double bed frame I clicked on on Argos

https://www.argos.co.uk/product/1259953

if you put it so the long side is up against the long wall opposite the door you’d have 70cm of clearance for the door to open and to walk down the side of the bed, and 21cm gap at one end. Up to you whether you put it facing the window or against the window.

Ooh yes if you get one of those lift up beds you’d have loads of spare room storage as Lego lady says.
of course you could then have shelves to keep your books/ming vases etc

Change your door so they swing out not into the room. No idea how you do that, but would help.

A double will go in, but habe you tried ear plugs?

Have you thought about an ikea hemnes day bed. It can be used as a sofa, or single bed, but can also be pulled out with a second mattress to make a double bed. You'd have to check the measurements but it's a good option!

@Freakinfraser tried it all. Nothing works! Except sending DP to the other room 🤣

A small double is 4ft wide, I have a room this size and have one and a bedside drawer and a wardrobe fitted in.
