Can't decide bletchley or Hanslope, Milton Keynes

Hey guys, we've finally narrowed down our house choices to two. One is in Bletchley and the other is in Hanslope. Help me decide or give me some suggestions.

The first house is a semi-detached with a large lounge and a bright feeling. The kitchen is small, though, even smaller than our current one. My husband suggested that we could use the garage as a utility and storage area. There are three reasonable bedrooms and one box room with a bulkhead. There are also two bathrooms, but no separate toilet. Shops, train stations, and schools are all nearby.

The second house is in Hanslope. It's a detached house with three reasonable bedrooms and a single bedroom. There are three bathrooms, including a toilet. The kitchen is a good size, and the lounge is huge with bifold doors. The landing at the top of the stairs is small, though. Primary schools are nearby, but secondary schools are a 30-minute drive away. It's in a village location and about a 20-minute drive to Central Milton Keynes. The interior is nice, but the color scheme doesn't really give me a good vibe.

So, what do you guys think? Which house should we go for?

I grew up in Hartwell next to Hanslope so I'd go with Hanslope. It's a lovely village. Roade comprehensive is not 30 min away and plenty of kids from Hanslope used to get in there. Colour can be changed.

Colour scheme is irrelevant when you’re buying as you can change it. You need to focus on the things that matter.

Hanslope over Bletchley all day long. Parts of Bletchley are nice of course, but there’s a reason you get more for your money there. I wouldn’t rule out buying there (although my kids would be horrified) but if I had options it wouldn’t be top of my list.

@Sailorchick14 Agree Hanslope is quiet and can see neighbours will look out for you. With that postcode 3 secondary schools came up , one special school, one good and other inadequate. Plus , I can't drive if my husband not around bus takes 40 mins to sec school.

West Bletchley is nice enough, but no comparison to the lovely village of Hanslope.

You are probably as far away from the city centre (timewise) in Bletchley as you would be in Hanslope.

Lord Grey and Sir Herbert Leon are the catchment for Bletchley and neither are well thought of shools. Plus lots of Bletchley is really awful.

Hanslope and Bletchley are nowhere near each other (in MK terms) why nowhere in between?

@illbehonestnow just checked the reviews not so great.
