Bicester Anyone?

Paddlechick666 · 28/03/2008 14:03

I grew up near Bicester and am thinking about moving back to the area.

Anyone got any hints and tips on decent areas?

Need to be in striking distance of Bicester North Station.

TIA

Langford Village,Bure Park or Southwold are the nicest places IMO.

Hi VS

Well I did a marathon house viewing session Friday afternoon and yesterday morning.

Saw some shockers and a couple of good ones.

Can't afford Bure Park and the houses seem very similar to Southwold but 10% more expensive

Can you give a real local opinion on Caversfield, the Fairhaven/Springfield/Woodcote bit? I saw a fabulous house there but am a bit apprehensive of the area. Am thinking that with prices dropping or slowing Caversfield wouldn't retain it's value so well.

There's quite a nice one on Southwold and one in Langford Village so it's coming down to access to Bicester North station.

Sorry for the brain dump but would really appreciate a local mum's perspective!

TIA

It would cost me far too much being close to Bicester Village .

hi morethan1, I grew up in a village a few miles from Bicester and my parents are still there.

As they're getting on and I'm a single parent and a drug dealer has just moved in to the flat below me I've decided to move back to the area.

I work in London.

I think calling Bicester nasty is a bit harsh! Either way tho, the villages of North Oxford would likely be beyond my means.

Thanks tho!
