Anyone else live in a house/flat that sits on the pavement?

Cause I do and it is driving me batty and I need a moan.

Not today! lol.
I hate feeling so 'exposed'. And people standing outside my window bellowing. And kids kicking balls at the wall.

We moved as I hated it with a passion. It was soooooo noisy.

we've considered that, but can't afford to yet - maybe in a year or two. Problem is, i love my house.

Oh I used to live in a house like that. DH was most annoyed when people walked past our windows and looked at him watching TV whereas I hated the noise of traffic and passersby at night in the summer when the windows were open. We moved

I used to find that standing at the windows staring at people made them move.

I used to live in one like that too. I used to like waiting until people were standing outside my front door then open it and go out, always made them jump! Also good for spying on people thru the spyhole. I put a big heavy curtain up at the front door, got double glazing and put up a nice voile panel at window. Then we mostly lived at the back of the house.
