We've never been there, but are hoping to view a property not far from there,at the weekend.
Just wondering what the schools are like and any other helpful information would be great too,if anyone knows, please.

Thanks.

I do! How was the viewing? Very good schools in that area.

Thanks.
We haven't been to see the house yet because tbh the estate agent put me off by saying it was half a mile from Chelmsford prison.
We have a couple of local houses to view over the weekend,so we're going to see how they go first.

I'm not sure why he would have told you that. Chelmsford prison is almost in the town centre and only a few miles from most places! I know both Springfield and Chelmer Village (which are the areas closest) are both very nice desirable places to live. I wouldn't let that put you off. Can I be nosy and ask what road it's on?

I think the road is called Sandford Road,if you know where that is.
It hasn't put me off completely as I've heard the area is very nice, but we thought that seeing as we've found a few local places to view,we'd look there first.

Oh I know Sandford Road. I grew up in Chelmsford and my parents still live there. In fact my mum worked at Chelmsford prison! Not sure why it would be a problem living near a prison - they don't escape very often . There used to be a big police station in Sandford Rd, not sure if it's still there. It's very handy for the town centre.
