Furniture 123 vs Dusk vs Dunelm etc for Sofas

Furnishing a whole house so need to keep a careful eye on the budget. Need a couple of sofas. Really like the traditional low armed style such as the Beatrice range in Dunelm. There are quite a few companies such as those listed above and places like Daals, Sofa Sofa etc that do similar for quite cheap prices with quite mixed reviews.

Anyone got any personal experience with sofas from any of these places? Interested in how comfy they area and how long they last.

i quite like a squishy sofa but DH has a bad back so needs a bit more support.

Hmm not sofas but I have a table from F123 which is lovely, have had for 3 years and going strong!

Had a bed from Dusk which was great quality. Not sure about sofas, though.

We've had sofas from Sofa Sofa over the years, as have family & friends (word of mouth recommendations). Our main sofa is from Sofa Sofa, it's years old & heavily used every day. The frame has lasted well & the removable washable covers are great (we also have a spare set). At some point we'll need to replace the seat cushions but it's had years of use so we're happy with that.

We have Dusk sofas. A 3 seater and a 2.5 seater sofa bed. They're really comfy and a nice size (some 3 seaters are a squeeze for 3 adults, but these are fine; even the 2.5 seater).

We got ours from Clearcycle on eBay which sells refurbished returns (I'm assuming that's what they are) at a heavily discounted rate.

Had a sofa from furniture125, a blue mid century style. Love it. Still going strong 3 years in and is very comfortable. Stands up to the cat very well too, where as a swyft sofa that was 3x the price is in tatters from cat scratches!

Oh that’s brilliant, thanks all.

I’ve just bought an ottoman bed from
dusk which I haven’t actually assembled yet as the house is being renovated so b dusty etc. Dusk gets some terrible reviews but I think it’s more about the delivery/customer service side of things than the products themselves.

I’ve seen the Dusk ones on clear cycle on eBay but to be honest they’re pretty much the same price as direct. They seem to constantly have 50% off with a further 20% off which is ending tomorrow but never actually ends!

Mine were much cheaper than direct. I essentially got one sofa for free.

Edit: checked the current prices and I saved about £700.00 on the two I bought.

@NoWordForFluffy might depend which style. I was looking at the Hampshire 3 seater. It’s £469 on clear cycle and currently around £540 on dusk with the discount. Clear cycle actually have a sofa listed for £244 and in the wording they say they rrp is £218!

Ah yes, our sofa bed is listed at just over £900 at the moment and I paid mid-£400s. The 3 seater is listed at just over £500 and I paid mid-£200s for it. So about 50% for each.
