Electric fire

I’m thinking of putting an electric fire in a new build modern room.

We won’t need much heat, the room is well insulated and will have central heading. I’m torn between some sort of modern looking wall fire or an Everhot heater in a ridiculous colour!

Can anyone share what they have done for inspiration please?
Thanks in anticipation

Here we go. Electric fire. I had the old gas fire removed and new mantle, hearth. It's currently all christmassey (second photo). The "flames" are water mist which makes the whole room look so cosy when on.

I have this electric micro stove and hearth. It's fairly small but suits the room. I love the flame effect - makes the room feel cosy. I don't use the heat much but my daughter loves getting curled up in front of it

Thank you both, they are lovely. @CommaChameleon7 I like your fire surround - did you already have it, or buy it for this fire?

Hi, I bought it with an electric fire - it wasn't expensive it was approx £120. Unfortunately the fire I got with it stopped working so I bought the one that's in situ which was much better for £140

I'd thought about a gas flame fire rather than a real one, as our chimneys here are capped and real fires are now not really acceptable in a urban area like mine, but even gas may not be sensible if we eventually go for a heatpump. I was a bit depressed about it because I like a real fire and the electric ones I'd seen were...not what I liked. Then I saw the ones with water mist- they look very nice online, but haven't seen one in real life. Both of yours look good, though, @CommaChameleon7 and @CatteryMe, could I ask, what brand are they?

Hey @BlueMongoose

I really liked the water mist ones because the flames looked the most realistic.

It's a Dimplex Fortrose fire. I have a video of it somewhere... Let me see if I can find it.

Thank you both @CatteryMe and @CommaChameleon7! I need the type that fits in a fire surround, but I was looking at Dimplex and wondering if they were as food as they looked- I think you've convinced me! The water ones look impressive.
