We're just on the verge of completing on a house move. Have been really looking forward to it - lovely house for my toddler and LO. But have just discovered an asbestos ceiling in the dining room, under LO's room. Most health and safety guidelines advise you to leave undamanged asbestos alone, but we were hoping to extend the house and would need to remove it to do so. Anyone been through this? Lots of reputable firms will take it away, but I have new mother paranoia that there will be fibres left poisoning my children's lungs...
