Kitching tiling to match hardwood floor

Does anyone have an open plan kitchen and living area, where they have hardwood herringbone for the living area, and then tile in the kitchen?

If so, could they recommend the style they went for to match? Struggling to find a tile that doesn't look too industrial in comparison to the wooden floor

What sort of age is the house? If it's a period property, you could consider a period-style patterned tile. Anything with a pattern will tend to look less industrial.

Not not a period house (i wish it was!). It's about 6 years old, so new.

I'd have preferred the same flooring throughout but just isn't possible at the moment, so need to find something for the kitchen. It is quite a big space, with the utility too.

What did you end up going for in the end? I'm looking to get herringbone effect LVT in our kitchen/diner and through to our sun room (and possibly utility area) this summer, so would love to see how yours turned out?
