Hi. Can anybody advise whether I need to get advice from the gas supplier before removing the concrete under this external gas meter? We have to go down about 15cm to get rid of the old concrete and will be laying new paving on top. I’m suddenly worried that we might end up damaging a gas pipe. It’s a Victorian terrace and we do have the gas connected.

No , just be careful when breaking the concrete out near the pipe.

Thanks. I read since posting that a service line would be about 375 mm down so sounds like it’s just the straight pipe form service line to meter that we need to worry about. Phew.
