How much do they cost generally to get them replaced?

I mean the whole box.. . .I've been quoted £1.5k per panel in the front room. Is that a reasonable price? Gulp.

I had my whole house (that is four double windows at the front and five singles at the back) done last year for £8,500 - most needed a new box. The new ones are wooden and double-glazed and have fancy-ish glazed arches on the front windows. We did shop around a lot.

I seem to remember something similar when we had ours done a few years back. But definitely worth getting it done properly and not having any of that plastic UPVC crap

Have you considered getting a specialist sash window renovation company to give you a price as they may be salvageable and for less than the cost of new ones?

As for new ones, DP said to expect around £1000 per window

We paid £600 per window but that was four years ago
