Hello, I am painting the walls in dulux quilted calico number 1 Search Results | Dulux. But can't decide on a feature wall. I'd like something blue/greenish but don't understand undertones etc. is there an app or something that will suggest colours? I looked at the colours that were suggested as complementing it on the dulux website, especially starlit night number 4 but the tester was a mauve colour, not the blue I was expecting. Quilted Calico 1 - White - Find products in this colour | Dulux. Thanks for any help!

You would be better off finding a blue/ green that you like and then finding a neutral which works with it. I think it will be easier.

Calico will have warm undertones so would only really work with a warm green like a olivey or mossy colour.

Thanks for the reply! totally makes sense re getting the blue/green sorted first but unfortunately we have loads of calico number 1 in the house and I am only redoing some of it and so it's easier to just keep it the same throughout the openplan downstairs. The current feature wall is a colour I hate though so planning to change that colour only. will look at olivey/mossy colours. thanks

There is a 60/30/10 'rule'. Google a colour wheel. 60% will be one colour (walls), 30% will be a couple of shades lighter/darker on the colour wheel (carpets/curtains) and 10% will be your accent colour which will be directly opposite on the wheel ( sofa/cushions/accessories). Might help.
