How much did it cost for a joiner to panel a wall?

Hello,

We have been quoted to have a bedroom room panelled and some skirting finished in another room.

What would be an average amount to pay for this please? I think the quote we have received is high but curious to see what others say first...

Honestly, I would find your local handyman who will be able to do this for 100 quid tops. It’s not a skill job at all my sister-in-law did it herself with a bit of glue nail gun

Nobody works for a hundred quid any more.

Yes I don't think we'll be getting it that cheap 🤣

I don’t think you even need to spend £100 you can do this

I'm heavily pregnant, I can't right now unfortunately!

I’m paying £250 for about 8m of wall, which involves some fiddly cutting around sockets and pipes and the boiler. If it’s a reasonably unobstructed wall I’d be inclined to do it myself.

Possibly being ripped off but sometimes it’s worth it for an easy life!

@whatsmynameaga1n perfect, thank you! This is around what I expected to be quoted and would be prepared to pay.

I got quoted £800!! Absolutely crazy!
